By accessing or using Find Pet ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

Description of Service

Find Pet is a platform that connects pet owners, shelters, and rescue organizations with individuals seeking to adopt pets. We provide tools for:

Listing pets available for adoption

Browsing and searching for pets

Saving favorite pet listings

Contacting pet owners or shelters

Find Pet does not own, possess, or have custody of any pets listed on the Platform. We are solely a technology platform facilitating connections between users.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:

Providing accurate and complete information
Maintaining the security of your account
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activities.

User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent pet listings

List pets you do not have legal authority to re-home

Sell pets for commercial breeding purposes

Harass, abuse, or threaten other users

Use the Platform for any illegal purpose

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

Scrape or collect user data without permission

Post content that infringes on intellectual property rights

Impersonate another person or entity

Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform

Pet Listings

Listing Requirements

When listing a pet, you must:

Have legal ownership or authority to re-home the pet
Provide accurate information about the pet's breed, age, and health
Use genuine photos of the actual pet being listed
Update or remove listings promptly when a pet is adopted
Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding pet transfers

Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, descriptions). By posting content, you grant Find Pet a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on our Platform.

Adoption Process

Find Pet facilitates connections but is NOT a party to any adoption transaction. Users are solely responsible for:

Verifying the identity and legitimacy of other parties

Conducting their own due diligence before adopting

Negotiating terms of adoption directly with pet owners/shelters

Complying with local laws regarding pet ownership and transfer

Any fees, donations, or payments exchanged between parties

We strongly recommend meeting in person in a safe, public location before finalizing any adoption.

No Warranty

The Platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

The accuracy of pet listings or user-provided information
The health, temperament, or history of any listed pet
The reliability or trustworthiness of any user
Uninterrupted or error-free service

No Veterinary Advice

Information on the Platform does not constitute veterinary advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for pet health concerns.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Find Pet and its operators shall not be liable for:

Any disputes between users
The condition or behavior of any adopted pet
Financial losses from transactions between users
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of data or service interruptions

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Find Pet, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the Platform

Your violation of these Terms

Your violation of any third-party rights

Content you post on the Platform

Intellectual Property

The Find Pet name, logo, and all related trademarks, service marks, and trade names are the property of Find Pet. The Platform's design, features, and functionality are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
